SunSHINE! (i really don't know what to write in these anymore...you know after sooo long. (;

Hello!
So this is going to be short because I don't really know what to write and we have alot to do since my companion is going home... :'( SADD DAY..
surprisingly- she hasn't cried as much as I thought she would... she must be in denial. lol

However! this last week Sister Houston and I decided that we would have as much fun as possible and WE DID. took a lot of selfies because that was part of our goals- haha. GOAL SMASHED!

Tatyanna and her mom came to church for all three hours and LOVED IT! I was able to teach gospel principles and the spirit made it a great lesson- (:

This morning! a member let us hide for her K9 Search and Rescue dogs! It was so fun! Her dogs are golden retrievers and they had to come look for us as if we were lost kids in the woods.. and then when they found us they had to bark 7 times before we could react. and then we had to be super excited and PRAISE them for finding us... however a german shepherd didn't find me... ): It was pretty sad.. haha dangit.

But anyway! this is my last transfer and its really weird. I honestly never thought I would get to this point. But, I am SOO pumped because we have such an awesome zone that its going to be the best and I'm going to make it the best anyway. (:
I hope you have a wonderful week and stay safe! (:
Love you all so much! Keep it real.

pics from TODAY//

Had Derby Zone Pday in the nicest weather ever...

Feeling like spring out here!

So we are having some really great high 60 degree weather out here. I've been working on my tan. (; ha jk. sorta.

But we had a really great week, lots of exchanges with awesome sisters! on Wednesday I went to Glenn Hills with Sister Pimmy- we were companions back in Hiawatha! and since I knew God wouldn't let me go back while on my mission, he allowed me to relive the glory days with Sister Pimmy one last time. (: We had alot of fun and tons of flash backs with all of our conversations.. But we had a super crazy, awesome, GREAT milagro with their investie Elizabeth. She is in the YSA branch and has known about the church forever and has loved the missionaries- however has asked them to not talk about baptism or push it. So we were at the church to read the scriptures and all that jazz, when the topic of baptism came up within 10 mins and this time she was like "ya know... I've been thinking about it... SIGN ME UP" haha. and she was baptized 3 days later. God is so good, and it was probably one of the coolest moments of my mission.

Tatyanna and her mom came to church again and were planning on staying all three hours but something came up- but they are going to try for next week! (: tatyanna is looking good for baptism but we are being patient and listening to the spirit.

I had my LAST interview with President Bell... I didn't realize it was my last one till Elder Limb pointed it out...#jerk (;
But since then I have been thinking about how blessed I have been to be here in Kansas and to serve with them here in the best mission in the whole world. I remember reading my mission call and thinking "kansas?...ugh..." haha. WHAT WAS I THINKING! #Iwasn't
We had a Mission President Devotional last night and we were given the opportunity to bring recent converts, investigators or returning less active members. So many wonderful stories and testimonies were shared- it was so inspiring. Just from hearing their testimonies on having a change of heart, taking the time to Listen to what the missionaries had to say and being patient- God was able to work a miracle in them. It just helps me to have a stronger testimony of the gospel and really see the difference it makes in our lives when we live it.
I love my mission so much, its helped me to grow closer to our Savior and truly LOVE Him.
Anyway! I'll send some pics because I actually took some.. #hoorayforsisterwilliams

have a wonderful week! love you all like cray! (:

Sunny in Wichita!

Heyyyoo!
So we had a pretty eventful week which was fun and crazy all at the same time!
Sister Houston had a birthday and so sister bell took us out to lunch at Cheddars! Its a made from scratch/ home made everything restaurant! really good. (:

We had exchanges with the Kellogg Hermanas down in Derby- I went to Derby and brushed up on my espanol. #almostfluent We talked to lots of spanish people- I had no I idea what to say so I usually started the conversation and let her finish.. haha I was good for something. There was this less active family who is from Puerto Rico who made us these fried banana meat pie things.. they were really good.. and interesting. I only ate one because I was so full.. but they were like "eat more!" ..."I literally can't.."
But we saw a lot of miracles, Sister Goulding hasn't been in the area for too long, so she doesn't know the area super well yet. So we were lost alot. However, we made it work... we were driving in a sketchy part of town and had no clue where we were going.. when she was like "We are here for a reason." and like 5 mins later we found our way to an investigators house. So we knocked on it- the mom came to the door and I said "Hola, como esta?!" (thats the extent of my spanish) the next thing you know- we were in the house and teaching her 3 girls! We taught one of them how to pray and her prayer was so sweet and sincere I was almost in tears. (: After we put them on date Sister Goulding told me that they have tried getting into their house forever and that was the first time  they have been able to. So I definitely know that we were meant to be lost for a reason and trusting in God- he ALWAYS provides a way. #MILAGROS
Sister Goulding is also a marathon runner and wakes up at 5am to go running... so I went with her and I am now currently recovering from torn muscles and I can't run nor walk normal right now. LIFE IS GRAND.... I felt really good afterwards... not anymore. haha

Tatyanna and her mom came on a church tour this week and it was super great. The mom has been reading the Gospel Principles book and reading info off mormon.org. She had lots of really good questions and a lady in our ward was able to answer them for her. It was overall a really spiritual experience for everyone.

Elder Evans, a general authority came to our mission and gave us instruction and the only thing I can really remember without looking in my notes was he told us to "DONT BE STUPID" haha. He taught us a lot of really good things, but that's what stands out.. I guess I have some repenting to do apparently... lol
But we had a good week, this week we have interviews and more exchanges with more awesome sisters! WOOH! This transfer is flying by, which is super weird.. cause sister houston goes home in 2 weeks annndd then.... ya'll know what that means.. I'm staying in Kansas! yup. (:

haha, Well I love you all so much! Hope you enjoy the weather wherever you are at- I will for sure. Looking forward to the SUN!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK! πŸ˜‡πŸŒ»πŸŒ»

February 8th... what in the world..

(Exchanges with the AMAZING winfield SISTERS!)
K. Time needs to freaking SLOW DOWN.
We had a super busy week but somehow I am still here and functioning somewhat properly.Last month our wonderful mission had 66 baptisms which was JANGANTIC. haha- there were so many miracles that kept happening because of the increase of faith in our mission. This is Christ's mission, at least that is what President Bell tells us. (;
At our MLC meeting there were alot of tears, many of the ZL's are being released in prep for the new mission president coming in July.

Anyway! Sister Houston is turning 22 tomorrow! she's so old.. hehe. Sunday, Tatyanna and her mom came to church again and were able to listen to the many testimonies, which were actually TESTIMONIES. It was really wonderful.
Her mom has a lot of questions and they agreed to come on a church tour to learn more to eventually be baptized! (:
We have also done tons of Role plays with the members, treating them like they are investigators! They love it, it gives them a chance to see missionary work from a different perspective. The goal is to help them feel the excitement of the spirit that comes from sharing the gospel with others. So far its been pretty good! (:

But we had a great week!! haha sorry I don't have much to write.. because I don't know what to say. But I absolutely love being here is Maize, its been one of the hardest places because everyone is FILTHY rich and are super comfy with where they are at. However, that doesn't matter because this is God's work and I'm here to do what he expects of me. Thats all that matters.
I hope you have a wonderful week, I'll be with a General Authority all weekend and so Im pretty happy about that. (:
Keep the faith and love one another.

LOVE YOU ALL!!😘

hey hey family!

Hey so we had a pretty fun week! the weather was awesome, High 50's and mid 60's.. So we were able to get out and talk to a bunch of people! We had exchanges with some of our sisters down in Derby. I also got my hair cut by our investigator- she did really good. I was nervous, but I still have my hair, its just a lot healthier and little shorter. hoorah!
So I'll send you all a pic.. since you are probably dying to know what it looks like. right? (;
I really have a bad memory of what even happened this week... I'm riding the struggle bus today. I'll just send yall pictures.. hahaπŸ€“

But however, Something I learned this week while preparing for my talk, that I gave in the YSA ward, was how we are constantly being brought to walls of faith. Joseph Smith said, "every man is eventually brought before a wall of faith and there he must make his stand." We can either exercise our faith in the Savior and his gospel or remain immobilized by those walls- where WE hold ourselves back from progressing in this life spiritually. I have gained over the course of my mission the utmost importance for having a SOLID foundation in Christ- because he makes this life possible and so much more worth living. With the knowledge of the Atonement and the love we can feel as we stay anxiously engaged in doing good continually. There are just so many blessings. (: So, I hope you all stay close to the savior and recommit to follow him more NOW.

Anyway, I guess I should also mention that President Bell asked me to put together a musical number for when Elder Evans of the Seventy comes next week! We are singing Savior Redeemer, the arrangement from "17 Miracles". πŸŽΆπŸ˜‚

Well, I love you all so much! Hope you have a wonderful week and stay warm.. hehe
